It was working and then now it won't work, even after restarting my computer. I also was getting another error before-- something about how the output file is read only... which doesn't make sense because nothing on my computer is read-only; it is my personal computer. Anyways, I am receiving the error below when I try to export to excel and I cannot figure out how to fix this. I am using SPSS v29 on a Mac.

Error # 6403.  Text: /var/folders/0d/d6jscl_n2r78br354fqzbsqc0000gn/T/spsszcNGe7/XLSX.16

SPSS Statistics couldn't create the output file.

Execution of this command stops.

I can think of a couple things that could be going wrong:
- First make sure you have updated your installation of IBM SPSS Statistics 29.0.x.x to release 29.0.1.0.  See the Downloading IBM SPSS Statistics 29.0.1. There is a link to the version 29.0.1.0 Fix List there.  There are also download links to the product installer files on IBM Fix Central.

- Have you recently had an update to your macOS?  Security in macOS became more stringent beginning with macOS 11.0 (Big Sur).  Check your System Settings and in the "Privacy and Security" settings make sure you've allowed IBM SPSS Statistics access to paths under your Home folder (e.g. Desktop, Downloads, Documents, etc.).  SPSS Statistics will usually prompt you when it needs access to a location and give you the chance to "allow" that access or not.
