    Posted 03/27/25 12:27 PM

    Hi!

I moved my SPSS from my OneDrive (it was full) to my local computer. I can now open SPSS and also my .spv and .sav but the problem is, SPSS now opens additional .spv and .sav where it saves my analyses... how can I fix this?

    HELP

    Hi @Kerstin Krickl

Check the "Edit -> Options" menus and the "File Locations" tab.  Make sure the designated paths and default behaviors are set the way you would like them to be.

If you change the settings here, those changes are recorded to the Windows Registry under your user profile (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JavaSoft\Prefs\com\ibm\/S/P/S/S\/Statistics).  You might find that your changes don't persist.  In that case, contact your local administrator, as they may be helpfully blocking your write access to these registry keys or resetting them to defaults on each launch of SPSS Statistics.
