I recently downloaded the 30 day trial version of SPSS last week. It has been working fine up until this morning. When I start the application, I see a message saying - IBM SPSS Statistics Subscription sign-in error "License verification failed.  Ensure you have internet access and click Retry."

My internet connection is fine. I did a quick search and I think it's related to this issue: https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/spss-statistics-subscription-sign-error

 However, when I try to connect to the SPSS license URL, I see a message saying the certificate for spsssub.ibm.com expired on 6/19/2022, which is today.

Hello! I have a subscription to SPSS and until yesterday, had no problems accessing it. My internet connection is working and I do not have an issue with the firewall. Hi, I also have the issue with the expired certicate when I want to access: https://spsssub.ibm.com/licsrv. I also receive this message when I want to use the 30 days SPSS subscription trial: "License verification failed. Ensure you have internet access and click Retry.
If you already have internet access, the SPSS License Server may need to be allowlisted from your corporate firewall.  Refer to your firewall documentation or contact your system administrator and add the following URL to allowlist:  https://spsssub.ibm.com/licsrv.  For other cases refer to this link for more information."

I have internet connection but I don't know how to add the URL to the allow list. Where and how exactly is this done? Thank you for your help.

you have to change the file you download in this folder rename the file ibmidlic.jar to ibmidlic_old.jar

and paste the one from the downloaded fix,
