When there is already a version of spss statistics concurrent v.29 installed and you want to upgrade to v.30, is it necessary to uninstall the current sentinel to install the one that comes with v.30?

Can you simply add the new authorization code to the server?

Assuming you have the latest version of the IBM SPSS Concurrent License Manager and Tools installed (Version 9.10), yes that is exactly what you do.  Simply add the SPSS Statistics Version 30.0 license to the existing license manager.
