IBM recently changed the policy for its knowledgebase articles. Now, to see them you must login with your IBMid and that IBMid must have valid entitlement to an IBM product. If you have not purchased IBM SPSS Statistics recently and/or do not have an active Support contract, you likely will not see most technotes.
the relevant portion of this one is:
Java heap likes to reserve memory in a contiguous block. The error message here is saying that java cannot get a contiguous block of memory this size.
Assuming this is in fact true, you will want to look into:
- the available RAM on your computer
- the number of other applications you are running prior to launching SPSS Statistics, and how these applications are using memory.
