SPSS on macOS is currently well known as an Intel app requiring Rosetta 2 be installed to run on Apple Silicon Macs. As of WWDC '25, Apple have announced the following:

• macOS 26 Tohoe (the next version of macOS being released this year) is the last macOS version that will run on some Intel Mac models.
• Rosetta 2 will continue to be available in macOS 27 (next years release), however be removed from macOS 28 (to be released end of 2027). Ref: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/apple-silicon/about-the-rosetta-translation-environment
