Hi when I try open AMOS through SPSS I get this error. I can't figure out what the issue could be? I've added AMOS through Analyse. I've tried saving my data to my device too (not on one drive). Any help would be very much appreciated!!

    Hi @Ellie-Jane lucas
The functionality you are describing was removed in IBM SPSS Statistics.  See https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/6404350

IBM SPSS Amos is its own completely separate product.  This product is capable of reading and writing to the SPSS Statistics system file format (*.sav), but it does not have real-time interactivity with the IBM SPSS Statistics virtual active file (as this functionality seems to imply) and never has.

In short, keep your IBM SPSS Statistics and IBM SPSS Amos activities separate from one another.

    Thank you that's really helpful.

I've read that link, do you know how I do "If you are preparing your data in IBM SPSS Statistics for later use in SPSS Amos, you will want to complete your preparations and then save the file in IBM SPSS Statistics system file format ("*.sav").  Launch SPSS Amos separately and associate this file with your AmosGraphics path diagram file ("*.amw"). " please?

Whenever I go on 'file' or 'open new' it doesn't show any of my SPSS data in the files even though they are saved as a .sav, so I'm not sure whether there's a different way to associate the file? Thanks again.

    Hi @Ellie-Jane lucas,
Amos does not interact directly with its data sources for 'live' editing of those data sources.  The "File -> Open" menu activity is specific to Amos path diagram files (*.amw).  Once you have opened a path diagram file, you then associate it with some external data using "File -> Data Files" dialog and the "File Name" button
