The choice of method is an important theoretical concern and SPSS has a large number of procedures (native and in Extensions) available. However, we have no single procedure that gives you results for all possible minimization methods.
We do have LASSO, RIDGE, and ELASTIC NET extensions (available on the Extension Hub) as of version 29. If you are using v26, please consider upgrading.

Subject: SPSS 26: How to specify which technique is used to get the minimum residual when applying the regression method?
But how to choose other optimization approaches different from OLS such as LASSO and LAD?

REGRESSION uses Type III sum of squares.
See the GLM procedure for that one as well as Types I, II, and IV.

SPSS 26: How to specify which technique is used to get the minimum residual when applying the regression method?
For example, how to choose the ordinary least square (OLS) as a technique to determine the coeffects of the regression model that minimize the residual?
