  • 1.  Spot the Value Override

    Hi,

Is there an easy way to tell if an existing column in a Transform has been overridden (Value Override) without having to scroll through all the column names to check ?

For new columns we can just sort by the user defined 'black dot' column (below).

Are there any fancy shortcuts to identify columns with Value Override entries?

    Thanks

You should be able to see this in the formula dependencies tab in your formula step, but that may be just as much work

Unfortunately, in R11, there is no way to determine if a column has a value override, except selecting that column and looking in the override field. You can see this in the formula dependencies tab, too (as mentioned by @Sandor Welfing), but I've found that tab to work only if you're in the time period when the override was set. Otherwise, it will not appear in that tab. R12 might have changed that, but I'm not deep enough into the Cost Transparency changes yet to say one way or the other.

My bad, missed that you were looking at this in R11.  Indeed my answer refers to R12.

Thanks @Sandor Welfing - no worries, one to look out for in R12 when we get there!
