Solaris Zones architecture - Broker using Veritas clustering

  • 1.  Solaris Zones architecture - Broker using Veritas clustering

    Posted Wed October 13, 2010 10:55 PM

Just wondering if anyone is clustering the Broker using Veritas in a Solaris Zone architecuture.

At a high level, you have a physical box that has a global zone and bunch of local zones. The global zone is the OS and the local zone is a “virtual” server using the same OS or kernel as the global zone. We going to have two boxes with the same architecture and configuration. The Broker will be configured on one of the local zone. However, the Veritas will be cluster base on your global zone. We wondering how the BrokerAgent will tell Veritas to bring the other Broker server up when the other is down when Veritas is configured based on the global zones.
