The error message is Target Not available although there is ample memory and no other significant processes. This problem goes away if you change the output to be !create.

Is this a known limit in V6.7 on windows 2000?

Other solutions are to reduce the size of the workfile etc but I want the function to work as suggested.

    Thanks for any input

just to let you know that I was running a test on our HP-UX server to create output sink data approx 130 Mb in size. We didn't have any problems aside from the usual Unix issues of not enough permissions/allocations to the TX user.

In the end it worked fine. We're using 7.5.1 but I've worked with 6.7.1 previously at other clients creating massive sink data (on Solaris) and never had any problems. I've not tested on W2000 though, but my guess is that the though the issue may be related to the op system rather than 6.7.
