/usr/sbin/rsct/bin/hags_disable_client_kill -s cthags

before shutdown.

Instead ov IV71572, we have IV69760, that includes IV71572 and solves a RSCT memory leak.

IV69760 brings /etc/rc.d/rc2.d/Kcluster with the above command - but in my case, it didn't solve the problem (cloned test cluster).

After giving the upper command once, then restarted the node, I don't have to  give the command a second time, now shutdown -Fh works again.

So, short:

APAR IV69760 (RSCT 3.2)  with /etc/rc.d/rc2.d/Kcluster ok
PowerHA 7.1.3 SP3 with Kcluster not ok (without dead man switch disable)

Kcluster without hags_stopdms leads to error id 225E3B63 "RSCT Dead Man Switch Timeout for CLUSTER; halting non-responsive node" while doing a shutdown.

Either reapply IV69760 after SP3 or manually edit Kcluster or put the following two commands in /etc/rc.shutdown.

/usr/sbin/rsct/bin/hags_disable_client_kill -s cthags
/usr/sbin/rsct/bin/hags_stopdms -s cthags

So, after applying IV71572, we solved the problem.

But - strange thing - KCluster executes also while shuting down.

I observed an elongated shutdown time in one case, delay was 30-45 seconds in KCluster but didn't further investigate this.

Let me resume: KCluster delivered by PowerHA and fixed by RSCT ? Strange indeed...
