  • 1.  Sharing OpenShift Cluster (CP4D and CP4I)

    Posted 07/20/22 08:43 AM
    Hello Experts.

A local Business Partner is planning to install and deploy IBM Cloud Pak for Data V4.5 services on a Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform cluster. Still, but a few days ago we realized a new use case that requires deploying a set of integration products such as Event Streams and DataPower (all of them based on CP4I).

    My questions are:
    1) In order to decrease the costs of this solution, Is it possible to share the same OpenShift cluster for both Cloud Pak (CP4D + CP4I) ?
    2) Is there any restriction to articulating this solution/design?
    3) Is this a supported environment/solution?

Any input will be much appreciated

    Hi Jose,

I received this documentation from the team that should  be helpful on running multiple cloud paks.

    Planning a multi-IBM Cloud Pak environment: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/cloud-paks/1.0?topic=cloudpaks_start/cp_start/cp_ovr.html

Also this should answer some of your questions -- our official support statement (for CP4I) is on the bottom of this page (it's supported and can be on the same cluster currently).  https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/cloud-paks/cp-integration/2022.2?topic=overview

    I hope that helps!

    Thanks,
