SFTP using OpenSSH not Accepting Password

  • 1.  SFTP using OpenSSH not Accepting Password

    Posted Thu December 01, 2016 06:22 PM

We are at wM 8.2 and using OpenSSH SFTP for a number of hosts. None of those hosts require passwords. We are trying to implement SFTP for a host which DOES require the password. I added an entry in the openssh.properties file like “openssh.sftp.HOSTA=-oPort=22 USER:“PASSWORD”@IPAddress”. I am able to log on manually, but am required to enter the password separately. When I invoke pub.openssh:sftp, I get “Permission denied (publickey, password).” The password requirement cannot be disabled for this particular host and they said they are unable to load our public key.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you for your help.

    Regards,
    Mary
