We have Commerce Manager 7.6 installed. Our DataStage TX 7.5.1 is running on HP/UX platform. One of our partners uses "X" for Interchange Standards ID instead of the Standard value of "U" in all inbound and outbound X12 transactions. In CM 7.6 x12mail.mtt no longer references the ISA. The ISA Control Standard of "U" is hard coded into CM. To use a Control Standard of "X" you have to:

1 - Add "X" to the ISA Control Standard restriction list in "ecmail.mtt".

2 - Make sure your application maps generate outbound data for this partner with all envelope options the partner needs (including the "X").

3 - Configure your outbound tradelink to do Control Numbers ONLY. This will prevent CM from replacing the "X" with a "U".

4 - You don't have to worry about trying to get the "X" defined in Partner Manager. Option 3 will tell Message Manager to ignore whatever settings you have in Partner Manager.

5 - You might want to turn the TA1 option off to prevent negative TA1s being generated for this partner.

This should work, please let us know.
