    i have an egl app that runs on an apache/tomcat server. I would like to work a session timeout into the app. I know i can add

            <session-timeout>30</session-timeout>
    to web.xml. But not sure what to do with it.

    Can someone provide a best practice for session timeouts? I would like to direct the user back to their login screen if they do time out. But, give them the option to stay on longer if they like.
