  • 1.  services in MWS when IS is on embedded webMethods DB

    Posted Thu December 24, 2015 09:26 AM

    Hi All,

We have a Integration server which are using embedded webMethods DB not external DB.

I have been informed by Administrator, since these ISs is using embedded DB, services status cannot be checked in MWS.
Since we cannot see services in MWS, we cannot find the failed or successful services.

I don’t find it right, could you please provide some information on this.

    IS version is 8.0

Configure the JDBC pools using the external DB and run Database component configuration. Let me know if you have questions.

    The below items should exists.

Pawan – Are you sure that if IS used embedded DB it doesn’t store services status as part of product stack tables ? Did you find this information in BIS ? Did you reach SAG to get it confirm ?

    Thanks,

When using services in MWS while IS is running on an embedded webMethods DB, you may encounter limitations in scalability and long-term maintainability. This setup can be sufficient for testing or very small deployments, but it's not ideal for production environments. For larger-scale or more complex solutions, it's often beneficial to consult with an embedded software outsourcing company that can help architect a more robust and scalable system. Migrating to a dedicated DB or optimizing service communication between MWS and IS can significantly improve performance and stability.
