We get this issue time to time i follow below steps key here is to change in all servers if you have multi-server architecture in order of CM, dispatchers
I re-named the indices folder in the ..\cognos\analytics\data\search folder
Rename write.lock in below path to something
E:\Program Files\ibm\cognos\analytics\data\search\collections\cm\data\index
and re-start the IBM Cognos service. This re-creates the indices folder and my search started to work again. We are on version 11.1.7

Hi,
Search is not working for me on Cognos 11.1.7 . when I click on search and type a name of report which is residing in Team content. I get a message (Your Search returned no result.)
I found a IBM document regarding it

As per the document I did stopped Cognos services and deleted the Indices Folder located in (ibm\cognos\analytics\search\data\search\collections) then I started the Cognos service again but this did not build the the Indices Folder and search is still not working.
Can any one help me please to resolve this . Thanks a lot.
