I have a Cognos report view that is scheduled to run and email out daily at 6:30 AM. We'll call this "Report A." Twice now, the email has started going out to the usual recipients, and with the correct subject line, but with the wrong report attached, which we'll call "Report B." Report B is a completely unrelated report: different owner, different email recipients, different schedule (daily at 3:00 PM), and entirely different subject matter. So, the email recipients for Report A will receive an email with a subject line indicating Report A, but with Report B attached. By looking at the Versions info for the two reports, when the mix-up starts happening, Report A no longer runs, and Report B runs at the time that Report A is scheduled. The email mix-up will continue I manually change the scheduled time for *both* reports, after which they both go back to normal. If I change only the scheduled run-time of Report A, it will run at the new time, and Report B will continue going out at the original time Report A went out, with the email recipients and subject line for Report A.
This seems to be a bug in the Cognos scheduling system. This issue has now occurred twice; starting on 11/19/2021, and starting again on 12/19/2021. It appears to happen spontaneously; no recent changes had been made to either report. And as stated above, the issue will continue until both report schedules are manually updated, meaning neither the recipients of Report A, nor the recipients of Report B, will have the information they need to do their job until I or someone else knowledgeable about this bug is able to take manual action. I'm using Cognos Analytics version 11.1.7. Any experience with this kind of problem or suggestions for resolving it would be very appreciated.
