  • 1.  Scheduled reports: e-mails are not sent

    Hello,
    I'm using CA 11.1.xx.
    I'm trying to scedule a report to be sent to me every week.
    Wenn I do this, it looks fine, only the e-mail is not sent (neither to me nor to another E-Mail-address). I can find it in the Inbox in CA, but I want it to be in my "normal" postbox, so that I don't have to login to Cognos.
    Is there anything I have to do in the settings, so that E-Mails are sent? Or is there something else I do wrong?

    PS: the same goes for taking a subscription to a report, that also doesn't work

    Hi Ludwig,

    You need to make sure that the following are setup:

    This is the node called "Notification" in IBM Cognos Configuration, you should replace mailserver with your mail server name, update the account, password and default sender. You might right click on Notification and select "Test" to check if your email settings are correct.

    You also want to make sure your credentials are valid.  If your AD password has changed and you don't renew your credentials in Cognos, it will not send out emails from report schedules that you own.

    Good morning! IBM community!  I'm very new to salesforce and am not getting my scheduled reports via email.  I've tried multiple different times (just in case it's a time zone issue) and confirmed that I am receiving the test emails.  I'm sure it's something simple, but I can't seem to find out why

    Hi all,
    thanks for the help.
    I indeed hat to replace the (default) mailserver with my own mailserver.
    And then, apparently also important, I had to restart the Cognos-Server, so that the new Mailserver was indeed used.
    So now it works!
