sap outbound map memory issue

    Hi,

Here’s hoping someone out there can help with this.

I am trying to pass attachments to a sap back office system. The sap.map.outbound call works fine until the attachments start to get large.

I have read in the forums that if the IS is allocated too much memory then the sap native libraries will cause the IS to crash as they will not have enough memory to handle large documents.

When the IS is running from the command prompt I can submit 18Mb of attachments, no problem.
However when the IS is running as a service I can only submit 7Mb of attachments before my IS falls over.

Does anybody know what the difference is memory wise when running from the command prompt as opposed to running as a service and how this would cause what I am seeing.

    Thanks in anticipation
