    We in BlueIT just deployed SAP Observability with Instana in our Instana factory. Agent installation didn't go so well but at the end we were able to monitor performance without SAP Solution Manager. The very first look and feel sounds enthusiastic. If someone is interested we can share some details.

    We basically follow the guide at the following link: 

     

    https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/instana-observability/current?topic=technologies-monitoring-sap-abap-sensor-beta

     

    There was an error on this guide because in the libpath variable we substitute :  

    libpath: '/opt/dev/jco/'

    with 

    libpath: '/opt/instana/agent/system/com/sap/sapjco3/3.1.8'

     

     and it magically works!

    For Francesco or anyone else trying the Instana SAP sensor I wanted to mention DBmarlin for SAP HANA database which links with Instana. It is also a beta and we are looking for people to try it and give us feedback.
