Hello Team,

We have done patching on server to 7.3.2.1. Then customer complained about samba saying its not working. And they are unable to copy files \ from P drive/network drive to the server(Patched server). The error message is as below:

Could not load program /opt/freeware/bin/smbclient:
Dependent module libpopt.so could not be loaded.
Could not load module libpopt.so.
System error: No such file or directory

Could you please help to resolve issue

What is the level of samba installed on your system?

If it is not the latest level, can you try updating it to the latest...

Looks like the latest rpm doesn't provide 'libpopt.so'. With the new samba-client rpm installed, you won't have any dependency with 'libpopt.so'.
