This document describes how to integrate data from Salesforce.com into the Apptio Business Insights application. Salesforce supports multiple mechanisms for exporting data, but this document focuses on using the Salesforce Data Loader client application and a free appexchange application called Field Trip for bulk export of data. Data is exported to a CSV formatted flat file which can be easily integrated into the Apptio Business Insights application using the Apptio DataLink application. Salesforce Data Loader supports both a graphical user interface as well as command line interface that allows you to set up Data Loader for automated processing.
