  • 1.  Safe Method To Remove DNF

    In trying to upgrade PYTHON on AIX 7200-05-05-2246.

    PYTHON version 2.7.18-3 was installed, as well as YUM.

    I installed DNF thinking it would update PYTHON. While it did seem to upgrade PYTHON to 3.9 (after relinking to python3), I am getting issues using DNF (Curl error (60): SSL peer certificate or SSH remote key was not OK for anonymous@public.dhe.ibm.com/aix/freeSoftware/aixtoolbox/RPMS/ppc/repodata/repomd.xml">https://anonymous:anonymous@public.dhe.ibm.com/aix/freeSoftware/aixtoolbox/RPMS/ppc/repodata/repomd.xml [SSL certificate problem: self signed certificate in certificate chain]) when I try to look at any available packages to install.

    So, I would like to uninstall DNF and start over.

    Is there a standard, safe method to remove DNF ?
