Hello everyone !

I am having an issue where I installed S-TAP on a Windows server, but it is currently not showing up in S-TAP Control. I checked the logs from the Stap.ctl file and it shows that it cannot connect, reporting:

Hi Nguyen,

Do you see any other problematic symptoms such as:

• S-TAP is restarting, or crashing
• S-TAP is receiving too much traffic (priority queue is changing, buffer overflow is happening)
• Network between the S-TAP and the appliance is unstable

If you don't know, I'd suggest to open a support ticket and send Win S-TAP Must Gather, so that an assigned support engineer will review the Must Gather output.

Lack of STAP instance on collector in any state means that STAP never been seen on collector.
You have network or configuration issue on STAP - check STAP logs!
