I am trying to get Xvfb working in an AIX 6.1 WPAR.

From the global environment I can run the following command successfully:

    1. /usr/bin/X11/X -force -vfb :10

When I try the same from a WPAR, I get:

    1. /usr/bin/X11/X -force -vfb :10
    Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Has anyone had success getting this working, or have ideas on how I can work around this?

    Thanks

Please forgive my lack of AIX knowledge, but what do I need to do to install Xvfb separately in a WPAR?

If I do the following within the WPAR, I get:

    1. lslpp -L X11.vfb

Fileset Level State Type Description (Uninstaller)

    X11.vfb 6.1.2.1 C F Virtual Frame Buffer Software
    for AIXwindows
Please can you advise what I'm doing wrong?

    Thanks for any help.
