there’s been mentioned in this forum an Indexer version with plug-able fulltext-extractors, so you could write an fulltext-extractor for your own binary file type and have it indexed like the supported types now. When will this be made available?

Also, is Indexer going the route of WebDAV-Server and is being made available as open source any time soon?

Hi,

currently there are no plans to do further development and distribution of nonXML indexer as an open source project.
We are investigating to which extent we can make (parts of) nonXML indexer sources available to the public with the next Tamino release (v4.3). This should at least allow developers to add their own plugins or to replace/switch off predefined ones.
