As part of V50 we are releasing a beta of a new rich text editor which will replace the one we currently use throughout the UI, in notes, rich text fields, wiki, tasks, etc.

The current library we're using is no longer being supported hence the reason for the change.

We've aimed to achieve parity with the current editor as much as the new library would allow. There are some small differences but we'll let you decide which are important or not.

We would greatly appreciate it if you could try the new editor out and let us know any issues you encounter. In particular pay attention to color, formatting, displaying old rich text content, etc.

The beta can be enabled/disabled on a per user basis by going to "My Settings->Beta Feature" and toggling the editor on/off

Please do not raise support issues on the new editor, its beta and feedback should be either as a response to this post, or else email me direct.

The plan is to gather feedback over the course of V50, and then GA the replacement in our next major release.
