  • 1.  RHEL8 Upgrade without New Deployment For IBM QRadar SOAR

    Hello All,

    Current procedure of upgrade is as we all know taking a backup of current deployment to import it to newly deployed V50 RHEL8 version. I can't understand still why we are doing that. IBM QRadar upgrades its RHEL version without that nonsense procedure. I think there should be same for IBM QRadar SOAR.

    Do you think we have to follow that procedure or will IBM change that situation with releasing a upgrade method like IBM QRadar?

    Hi Erkam,

    As the majority of customers have already migrated due to RHEL7 EOL last year, we have no plans to revisit our migration procedure.

    We stuck in RHEL7 and V50 for few years and recently plan to upgrade to RHEL8 with V51, what's your suggested procedure?

    You can get the v50 version of the documentation from https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/7237429. The documentation explains how to migrate from v50 RHEL 7 to v50 RHEL 8.

    And we are thinking if we can deploy a new V51 in RHEL8 and migrate current v50 to it directly.
