Restore ILM and BES to Point in time

    Hi Folks,

    We are running BES (9.5.15.71) with ILM (9.2.22) on an RedHat 6.10, DB2 Level is 10.5.0.5.

    I want to upgrade ILM to 9.2.23, running airgap.

    After running "/Airgap.sh -run" i see that i upgraded inadvertently to ILM 9.2.25 which is not supported in our environment.

    I restored all databases (BESREPOR, BFENT and SUADB) to a point in time before the start of "/Airgap.sh -run" .

    I can start besserver, besfilldb, besgatherdb.

    If I start beswebreports the besserver crash with “segfault … error 4” in dmesg.

    If I do not start beswebreports, and I try to connect with bes console, I can login and then besserver crash with “segfault … error 4” in dmesg.

    I checked ILM and BES Backup in

    I suppose "/Airgap.sh -run" only update the database.

    The registry /var/.com.zerog.registry.xml was not changed

    Is it necessary to restore /opt/ibm/LMT and all /var/opt/BES* also before the start of "/Airgap.sh -run" ?

    Hello,

    From ILMT 9.2.2.2 you can upgrade only to the latest version of ILMT, which is 9.2.26.

    Using airgap procedure you are only updating the IBM License Reporting site to 9.2.26 (previously was 9.2.25).

    Only with the fixlet site updated, 'Upgrade to the latest version of License Metric Tool (9.2.26)' fixlet will become relevant and you can run the upgrade. If you didn't run this fixlet, then you only updated the fixlet site.

    As for Bigfix component no longer working, please open a case against ILMT Support, so can take a close look to the issue.
