  • 1.  Resource registry caching

New to using Resource Registry and have some fundamental questions on how it works with Launcher.

When using Launcher is the Resource Registry loaded at engine startup and kept/used/cached in memory until Launcher is stopped?

Or are the registry files reread with each use (doubtful...)?

Assuming cached, is there anything that automatically watches for registry files to be updated and reloaded?  Or does an update to a registry file require a bounce of the Launcher engine?  Is there any mechanism that could cause the resource registry files to be reread while Launcher is operating?

Is the loading of the resource registry files guaranteed to be complete before any maps attempt to use values from them (I assume it has to be so, but I'd like to make sure...)?

Finally, are there XSDs for the various resource registry XML files?

The Resource Registry values are picked up when Launcher starts.  If the values are changed, you need to do a Launcher -stop and Launcher -start to pick it up.

I am not aware of any command to refresh the value once Launcher is running.
I am also not aware of any XSD associated with the .mrc and .mrn.
If anybody has one, please share.
