WAS8.5 BASE

Have 5 Default profiles Federated to AdminAgent profile.

Need to reset the Wasadmin password (as it has been lost) for one of the Default federated profiles.

How can this be done?

Have tried [ https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/127659 ] but I am unable to access the profile [http://host:port/admin] as it remains managed

Hi Bill, thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunatey that is not an option because I do not know the Wasadmin password to be able to launch wsadmin.bat...

What I need is to be able to reset the Wasadmin password because it is currently unknown

Apologies, I had not noticed the 'conntype NONE' parameter

Though worth mentioning that command still failed, this was because the fileregistry xml file had not synchronized to the node!

I assume bacause of https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/apar/PI83149

Fix: copy the fileregistry xml file to the profile, run wsadmin commands as you suggested
