Thanks Susan for you comments. I agree quality makes a big difference. I still have a Websphere shirt that must be about 10 years old. It's perfect for travel, I can literally scrunch it in a ball, throw it in the bottom of my bag and it doesn't need to be ironed and hold it's shape. I exclusively use it for travel now so I can prolong it's life!

Hi Steve and Michael,
I just wanted to chime in on the conversation about IBM Champion merchandise. I have fond memories of carrying around the backpack with the "IBM Champion" logo-it was a real "badge of honor" as I navigated airports, and I felt proud every time someone noticed it. Unfortunately, it seems like the quality has taken a bit of a hit lately. One of the straps tore loose at the bottom, so I haven't been able to carry it on my back anymore.
I'm hoping this year brings a new opportunity to grab another backpack, so I can continue to proudly display the "IBM Champion" logo while I travel. The right gear really does make a difference, both for visibility and for champion spirit!
Thanks for keeping this conversation going-and fingers crossed for some refreshed, durable swag soon.
Best,
Susan

This is a great point. Like most of you, I travel a lot and wear branded partner stuff through airports, events, etc. It's great visibility for the partner, especially with new projects or offerings.

I'm not aligned with Project Bob - but a T-shirt would be cool! Wanted to drop in that years ago getting IBM merch as a partner was easy. Partners and especially champions are huge brand advocated for IBM. It would be great if this could be reinvigorated. Branding on demand isn't overly expensive in the scheme of things but would come with some global logistical challenges. Perhaps this is somethingthat could be considered within the partner tiers and Champions Program with an included budget per tier and the ability to pay beyond the budgeted amount??
