    I hope you’re all doing well. I’m trying to determine whether CMIS (Content Management Interoperability Services) is compatible with Windows Server 2025. Has anyone successfully implemented or tested CMIS on this version of Windows Server? Any insights, experiences, or resources you could share would be greatly appreciated. Seems most of the capabilities except CMIS run on Windows 2025

    Hi @Tshepo Mokhethi,

    This link to the Compatibility Report shows that ECM CMIS 3.0.7 is only supported on Windows Server up to 2022. We haven't tried it on Server 2025. Perhaps someone from IBM could comment on whether there are plans to qualify it with Windows Server 2025 - @RUTH Hildebrand-Lund?

    CMIS is not currently supported on Windows 2025 because the base installer 3.0.7 has issues with this operating system. The Development team is working on remediating this situation, but no date yet on availability.

    Hi Ruth Hildebrand-Lund,

    Thank you for your update.

    So far this creates an issue when intending to move application stack to windows 2025 as CMIS is the only at most, with Windows 2022.

    Is the issue only with the installer?

    So, I am assuming that the application can still work if one manages to deploy it in Websphere on Windows 2025

    For clarification, the CMIS 3.0.IF014 package will install on Windows 2025...and works just fine. The issue is that CMIS 3.0.7 base package (and the other IFixes) do not. 

    So if you CMIS installed on an earlier version of Windows, and then upgrade to Windows 2025, things will work just fine.

    If you need to have IBM support for the IBM software, you MUST wait for Windows Server 2025 to be included as supported for CMIS  in the matrix support; this is very simple .
    If you do not want to have support for IBM software, you can test and implement by yourself. that's generally the software support all world around if  professional software is delivered and IBM is no exception.

    You can ask the IBM support about a date in advance when they expect to support this software.

    I'm happy to let you know that CMIS 3.0.7 IF014 adds support for Windows 2025. The Software Product Compatibility Report has been updated with this information....and also with the following footnote:

    Windows 2025 support is added with CMIS 3.0.7 IF015.
    If you are doing a new installation of CMIS on a Windows 2025 server, refer to the following technote to resolve issues with running the base CMIS 3.0.7 release on the server: https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/7279230.
