Request for Chromium to be added to the Toolkit for AIX
Jaspersoft Server is deprecating AIX support after 7.9 due to lack of Chromium support.  In particular the image transformation libraries to generate PDF's, DOCX etc. from Chromium are being used.

We evaluated in past Chromium and it is not a trivial task to port on AIX.
It needs significant effort and code changes.
Is there any other alternative ? How one would be running browser on AIX using vnc ?

It looks like JasperSoft server is using the document libraries, I haven't done a deep dive into the JasperSoft community edition code yet but I suspect it is using the javascript engine in chromium.  X-Windows is a thing on AIX so a normal browser is very much a useful tool stand alone as well.

The alternative is to run the solution on x86 Linux.
