    Hello,
    I'm using Cognos Analytics 11.1.x
    I made a report where some of the output (ie columns, text blocks) depends on render variables.
    I've used it for some time and now I have to change it. But now when I select the column, the field "render variables" is empty. I can still find the variables, the columns appear when they should (so it is still working), but I can not see, what I did before or what variables I used for a particular column.

    Does anyone know, how to again see this informations?

    Hi Ludwig,

    if you select a column in a list, by default the "List column body" is selected. It does not contain the Render Variable Option. You need to move one step up in the properties and select the "List column", then the Render variable will appear.

    Hello Patrick,
    I was on vacation, so a rather late reply.
    First of all thanks for answering.
    Normally you're right, but unfortunately it doesn't work in this case.
    I have to say, that both me and a former colleague have been working on the query, so it might be, that he actively did something to hide this variable or choose a completely different way to hide the column.
    Probably easiest to just build it anew.
