  • 1.  Rename IDS 10 instance.

    In IDS 10 on windows 32 bits I performed level 0 and level 1 backups with ontape.
    In order to restore those backups, should the machine name be called the same as the original? Should the informix instance be called the same as the original?

    Don't think so, machine name and instance name should not be relevant.
    Same ids Version and storage locations are required. 
    But there is a rename option in restore for deviant storage locations
