    Hi Community,

I have a question on option "remove duplicates"  - we are using this option and it appears that some lines (transactions) need to stay in the "table" though they have all the same identifiers we use for the duplicates. Maybe you have any work around for such kind of issue?

    Thank you.

A snapshot of the Remove Duplicates step would help, @kateryna kuzminska
Failing that, I guess it will depend on the selection criteria in the step:

Maybe there's something wrong with whatever column you're selecting as a "Key".
I am not sure what the engine will do if you have two line items with the same key and same value in the Comparison Column. In any case, it should work.

The system should only leave one row with the same value in the Key Column.

Following onto Guillermo's reply, Apptio will use whatever field you've defined as your Key Column to remove duplicates.  If you're using Transaction ID, but you have records where the Transaction ID is the same and both records need to remain, then you need to find a lower level of granularity and use that as your Key Column, whether that is a different column altogether or by concatenating Transaction ID with something else, for example Dupe Identifier=Transaction ID&&Transaction Sub-ID, and then use Dupe Identifier as your Key Column.

    Hi All!

    Thank you for your help!
I thought that maybe there can be any possibility of creating custom filter ( like in excel)
However, here I used some additional granularity as it was suggested by James and it worked for now.
So I am closing the topic.

Thank you for your support and have a nice day!
