I'm currently working on configuring Remote Syslog Forwarding to forward webseal Request logs, and I'm wondering if there's a way to mask or anonymize the user %u parameter before it's sent to the syslog forwarder. This is to ensure that sensitive user information is not exposed in the logs. Any insights or suggestions on how to achieve this would be greatly appreciated.

How would you like to mask this? 
Or are you looking for A hash? Or something else? 
Without correlation it could prove - less useful. 

If the intent is to remove it - The field itself is optional, you could always remove it from the request log config.
