I have not tried 8.2 yet. I'd give a try to this new 8.2 once 8.1.0.3 is up un running, think that 8.2 is a minor revision.

The big difference between 8.1 and 8.2 is that the 8.2 design studio is eclipse-based (pretty much everything is new there). But the mapping engine is more or less the same (also regarding its stability).
