  • 1.  Regarding MFT Configuration

    Posted Thu June 30, 2022 09:06 AM
    Hi All,

Can anyone help me to understand how to connect Coordination QM with global configuration, i have done the entire setup for MFT on my local machine but by default it is connected as local configuration.

Also help me to understand how to enable the browse option to transfer files. By default agents are taking relative path and I can make transfers only in a singleR directory.

Wow, that was last updated on 09/13/2018.  I'm trying to tell you how ancient the code is that you are using.

Title: Fix list for WebSphere MQ Version 7.5
    URL: https://www.IBM.com/support/pages/fix-list-websphere-mq-version-75

In fact, MQ 7.5 reached its End of Support date on 04/30/2018.

You should really upgrade to a more current, and supported level of the product.  In fact MQ 9.3 became generally available on 06/23/2022

Title: IBM MQ 9.3 for Multiplatforms and IBM MQ on Cloud deliver improved capabilities to securely power cloud-native applications across hybrid-multicloud
    URL: https://www.IBM.com/common/ssi/ShowDoc.wss?docURL=/common/ssi/rep_ca/9/897/ENUS222-129/index.html

In addition to a vast amount of new functionality, a large number of fixes for known issues have also been delivered. It is really important to note that security and HIPER (High Impact/High Performance) related issues could exist. This should be more than enough justification to install the most current Fix Pack that is available for the version being used.

    Hi Surbhi,
FYI, File transfer requests (and some other commands) require 2 pieces of information to identify an agent, the agent name and its command queue manager name. There is no reason to include a queue manager name in the MFT agent name, it is redundant.  I suggest that you use names like AGENT1, AGENT2 etc.

    Thanks Glen,

Agent name doesn't hamper with file transfers, i have query on how to enable browse option of file transfer and how to connect via global configuration.
