  • 1.  Regarding connectivity with MQ

    Posted 12/02/22 02:55 AM
    Hi Team,

We are having the setup of Advanced MQ 9.3.0.0 ,also we have created the server connection channel with respective connections.
But when an external application is trying to connect with advanced MQ it is getting below error & everytime need the JVM restart to get the connectivity back to working stage.

Error facing at application level :-

    2022-12-02 11:50:11,559 ERROR [in/yestph_neft/gps/GpsPaymentProgressServer] - Linked Exception com.ibm.mq.MQException: JMSCMQ0001: IBM MQ call failed with compcode '2' ('MQCC_FAILED') reason '2009' ('MQRC_CONNECTION_BROKEN').

    2022-12-02 11:50:11,559 ERROR [in/yestph_neft/gps/GpsPaymentProgressServer] - Unexpected exception

com.ibm.msg.client.jms.DetailedJMSException: JMSWMQ0019: Failed to disconnect from queue manager 'TPH_NEFT' using connection mode '1' and host name 'tphneftuatmq.yesbank.in(1419)'.

Kindly suggest on these steps that need to check when the issue arises & the permanent solution to avoid this issue.

    Thanks & Regards,

Open a ticket with IBM. There is an APAR about that. https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/apar/IT42355?myns=swgws&mynp=OCSSYHRD&mync=E&cm_sp=swgws-_-OCSSYHRD-_-E
Follow the instructions in the APAR and set the connection timeout time. Let us know if this fixed it.

    I am a bit nosy.
Is one external applications having an issue, or all of them?
Any other network issues between client and server?
    "back to working stage."
What is the meaning of working stage - the MQ connection works until it breaks?
Is the client running in a container / VM; what is its free cpu / memory / network capacity?

How often in an hour / day does the client observe the problem?
Is the MQ Server reporting any issues, maybe TLS related?
What is the java version of the client?
Did it work better when the client connected with MQ 9.2?
