Power

Hi,

I replaced the battery of a power 5 9133-55A and the capacity on demand activation information is erased.

 I re-entered the code I have, but it is marked as already used.

I tried to connect to the site http://www-912.ibm.com/pod/pod, but I got a bad gatway error.

How can I reactivate my capacity on demand license? Currently the Power 5 server is in recovery status.

I suggest you send an e-mail to IBM CoD Project Office at  ECODPROJ@us.ibm.com to ask for obtaining the activation code.   I'm not totally sure if this e-mail is still active or not but it is the only thing I can remember I used to reach for in the past for help of this nature. It would be good if you can also include some relevant screen shots in your mail.

I just found out that, nowadays, you obtain activation code from IBM ESS (Entitled Systems Support) web site ( www.ibm.com/servers/eserver/ess/ )  under  My Entitled Hardware --> Power Capacity On Demand.   9133-55A is also supported in there. 

If you never ever used IBM ESS web site before, you need to register a free-of-charge IBMID first and then associate your IBMID with your Power server's MTM and serial number before you can use it.  The relevant help information on this is here:  https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/entitled-systems-support?topic=support-my-profile.

Hi,

  Thanks for your answer.

after many recovery, rebuild, one dump and few houres.
The power in HMC apear in state running.

I don't know if it's my tests or just waiting who resolved the problem.
