  • 1.  Recorder - Can not highlight the selection

    Hi.

    I'm now following the education video in IBM learning, and keep on failing to follow the video.

    It says, starting the Recorder, and open a notepad app from windows, and hold on Ctrl key will highlight the selection and gives me information of this notepad app. So I clicked/started a recorder, and ran 'notepad' app, but the recorder is not showing any 'status bar' ... and holding 'ctrl' key did nothing.

    How can I record the steps I take in my windows???

    Hi Hyang,

    Maybe you are going through something different, but what I usually do when some issues happen to the Recorder bar is to resize the Windows taskbar, this makes the Recorder restore its size to the default one. This is a fix for the cases where an empty space is left at the top of the display after using the Recorder as well.

    In the attached video, I show how to do it (quite simple, just make sure that the taskbar is unlocked).

    I could see the highlight, just after the reboot. I didn't do anything else but reboot it. ^^
