Thanks Rod. I did run the SCPR last week and i saw that up to 9.7.0.3 webfacing runtime was not supported but it shows supported in 9.7.0.4 onwards. But only with RSAD and RSADWS not with RDI anymore which left me dumbfounded as all of our webfacing users previously used RDI with HATS and Webfacing. I have reached out to IBM to confirm this.

its certainly had no new enhancements for many years, and if you run a compatibility report:
https://www.ibm.com/software/reports/compatibility/clarity/?mhsrc=ibmsearch_a&mhq=Software%20Product%20Compatibility%20reports
for HATS, Webfacing is showing as no supported on many (including Windows) platforms.
For a formal answer, open an IBM support (PMR) case.

Thanks Rod, this is helpful. Can you clarify what you meant by "feature was stabilised" ? Is Webfacing supported now in the latest HATS release?

You might want to be clear with HCL, that you are asking about the Webfacing support in HATS - last I recall that feature was stabilised

Hi Joel,
There is no RDi 9.7 because the move from Eclipse 4.6 to 4.8 did not occur. Eclipse 4.8 was already 3 years old when the other teams migrated. Our team decided to support 4.6 a year longer to make the jump to Eclipse 4.23 and Java 11, to save users a one year licensing headache.
I have reached out the the HCL team that supports HATS and have asked them if they have plans to include a 9.8 version, and I have given them a link to your question.

Good morning RDI group.
We are using RDi 9.6 with HATS 9.6 for webfacing conversion of our green screens from IBM i core banking product. But IBM announced end of maintenance support for RDI 9.6 on March 2025.
https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/announcements/end-marketing-end-support-i-merlin-10-rdi-96-selected-i-functions
So we are planning to certify our product with the next available version of RDI, 9.8 or 9.7 along with HATS 9.7.1 But HATS 9.7.1 is only certified with Rational Application Developer for WebSphere Software and Rational Software Architect Designer for WebSphere Software. And we need HATS for its Webfacing component.
My question is, Can we use RDi 9.8 for HATS 9.7.1? Why is there no RDi 9.7 that is compatible with HATS 9.7, based on the IBM Software Compatibility report website : https://www.ibm.com/software/reports/compatibility/clarity/osForProduct.html
Do we now need to use Rational Application Developer for WebSphere Software or Rational Software Architect Designer for WebSphere Software if we want to use HATS 9.7.1 with Webfacing feature?
I generated a report for HATS 9.7.1 from
https://www.ibm.com/software/reports/compatibility/clarity/osForProduct.html
Under Development tools it doesnt include Rational Developer for i. only Rational Application Developer for WebSphere Software and Rational Software Architect Designer for WebSphere Software. So if our clients want to do webfacing conversion using HATS 9.7.1, will they now need to buy another license for Rational Application Developer for WebSphere Software or Rational Software Architect Designer for WebSphere Software.? Even if they already had license for RDi 9.6 and HATS 9.6?
