  • 1.  RCLSTG with ACS VS OLD VERSION after update OS.

    Posted Sun July 06, 2025 10:47 AM

Hello, I updated a partition from 7.4.0 to 7.5.0 with ACS, all 0K, but at the end by operating procedure an RCLSTG was sent, te partition canceled the process and completely disconnected the console until the HMC session started, later we checked that it sent the message CPF9999 which refers to a CPF6A50 which we still have not located, we executed the RCLSTG using the console with the previous Client Access for Windows and it executed well, What could be happening? Regards

Miguel - According to IBM's documentation....CPF6A50 =  Error was found during display file or printer file operation. As I don't know what version of ACS you are using, perhaps there are some fixes you need to apply and/or update your ACS version to the latest release.

    Dear Miguel

Did you configure your 5250 console session according to this Technote?   Configuring IBM i ACS for HMC Remote Console at  https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/configuring-ibm-i-acs-hmc-remote-console

One thing I find strange is when you mentioned that "but at the end by operating procedure an RCLSTG was sent".  I did IBM i release upgrade several times before and RCLSTG was never needed as an action in the standard release upgrade process unless there was unexpected incident that required it.  Did you mean that RCLSTG ran by itself as part of your release upgrade or did someone ran it manually because a system message appeared that indicated the need for RCLSTG?
