    Queue sharing group

    --------------------------------

    Hi All,

I am working on the mainframe environment(z/OS) with parallel sysplex on it.

I am having two QMGR in one LPar, working seperately and I want to bring it under queue sharing group.

As i am new to it can anyone suggest on how to implement it and its requirements.

    Thanks and regards,
    Sujitha.

    Queue Sharing

    --------------------------------

Are you running DB2 on z/OS? You will need DB2. There some tables that you will need to create for you to activate Queue Sharing. If you have more than one mainframe CEC I would put one of the queue managers on the other CEC and then create your Queue Sharing Group. The System Admin Guide for MQ has a step by step approache for defining a Queue Sharing Group. Once the group is created you will need to have DB2 come up before MQ when you IPL your systems. All of the Queue Sharing Groups information is stored in the DB2 tables. We've been using Queue Sharing for about six years. We have six queue managers across two LPAR's that participate in the Queue Sharing Group.
