Question about 3x3 between-subject experimental design

  • 1.  Question about 3x3 between-subject experimental design

    Posted Sun January 07, 2024 08:22 PM

    Dear all,

I have a question about running my experiment using the PROCESS macro in SPSS.

The experiment involves a 3x3 between-subject design. The first manipulation is the strategic context (converging goals, task conflict goals, and process conflict goals), and the second manipulation is CSR contracting (monetary, nonmonetary, and absence).

For each manipulation, two dummies were created.

-In the strategic manipulation, the first dummy has task conflict goals=1, and converging and process conflict goals=0; the second dummy has process conflict goals=1, and task conflict and converging goals=0.

-In the CSR contracting manipulation, the first dummy has monetary CSR contracting=1, and nonmonetary and absence CSR contracting=0; the second dummy has nonmonetary CSR contracting=1, and monetary and absence CSR contracting=0.

How can I get the output of all of my interactoins, especially the ones in bold given they do not have their ''own'' dummy?

    - Converging goals * monetary CSR contracting

    - Converging goals * non-monetary CSR contracting

    - Converging goals * no CSR contracting

    - Task conflict goals * monetary CSR contracting

    - Task conflict goals * nonmonetary CSR contracting

    - Task conflict goals * no CSR contracting

    - Process conflict goals * monetary CSR contracting

    - Process conflict goals * nonmonetary CSR contracting

    - Process conflict goals * no CSR contracting

Any assistance is highly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

    Hi @Julie Custers
The PROCESS macro is a third-party SPSS Custom Dialog created by Andrew F. Hayes of the University of Calgary. Detailed technical questions about how to use this macro should be addressed there.
