  • 1.  Query F.E. Version in sysmaster ?

    Posted Wed February 18, 2026 02:26 AM
Is there an option to query the F.E. Version of Clients in sysmaster database ?

I found syssqscb:scb_feversion, syssqlstat:sqs:feversion and views based on these tables, but all of them
Return 9.03 since years (this problem is also mentioned in several cases).

The background: I want to check, if there are still clients 4.10 and older, that access the databases and will run out of support this year.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Kind regards

    Gerd:

Yes, the FE version, as recorded in sysmaster and reported in the onstat -g ses report, is the version of the SQLI communication protocol rather than the CSDK version. Prior to the release of CSDK v15.0 that had indeed not changed since somewhere around v9.40 or 10.00. The FE version for CSDK v15.0 is 9.41, however, likely due to the changes necessary to support the changes in sqlca and ROWID.

JC can probably give you a better handle on that if needed. The actual CSDK version is not recorded or reported.
